British Airways will resume flights from London Heathrow to Islamabad (Pakistan) starting June 2019

British Airways will resume direct flights between London Heathrow and Islamabad (Pakistan) starting June 2, 2019. The flights between the two cities were suspended in 2008.

The flights will be operated three times a week with Boeing 787-8 aircraft. The cabin configuration of the BA 787-8 that will operate on this route is 35 business class, 25 premium economy and 154 economy seats.

Flight time between London Heathrow and Islamabad is an average of about 8 hours and 30 minutes.

BA260 London Heathrow 9:15PM – Islamabad 9:25AM (+1) / Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays
BA261 Islamabad 11:10AM – London Heathrow 4:00PM / Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

Competition from PIA

The flights its also operated by Pakistan International Airlines with Boeing 777 aircraft.

The United Kingdom is home to a large community of people from Pakistan, so there should be a successful operation for British Airways, considering also that there is a little competition.
