Ryanair extends partnership with Air Europa and adds more long-haul bookable flights

Who would expect that on the Ryanair website to be available for booking flights from Uruguay (Montevideo) to Madrid (Spain)? I would not have expected this few months ago.
However, with the expansion of the partnership between Air Europa and Ryanair, several flights from Air Europa’s long-haul network are able to be booked on Ryanair website.

Starting today, Ryanair’s customers can book  Air Europa connecting flights from 15 European cities to Madrid and onward to 16 countries in North, Central and South America, including Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico and the United States the Dublin-based low-cost airline announced.

The next phase of this Air Europa partnership will be launched later this year and will allow Ryanair customers to connect onto Air Europa long haul flights through Madrid. Ryanair is continuing its discussions with a number of other long haul airlines on potential feed and connecting flight partnerships.
As we speak, customers can only book flights on Air Europa’s network through Ryanair website. If you want to have a connecting flight, you have to book two separate plane tickets, so don’t confuse this partnership between the two airlines as a code-share agreement.

Air Europa uses for long haul flights Boeing 787 Dreamliner and Airbus A330 aircraft. Also, in the Spanish carriers SkyTeam member fleet you will find Boeing 737-800’s and smaller Embraer 195 aircraft.
