These days emerged the news that Singapore Airlines signed a codeshare agreement with Air France – KLM group on a number of European flights in and out of Paris.
The destinations mentioned under a code-share agreement from Paris would be a number of ten destinations – Aberdeen, Bordeaux, Edinburgh, Lisbon, Lyon, Madrid, Marseille, Newcastle, Nice and Toulouse.
In exchange of that, Air France will sell Singapore Airlines flights under its own flight numbers to destinations such as Melbourne and Sydney (Australia) and also Silk Air flights to Kuala Lumpur and Penang (Malaysia) and Phuket in Thailand.
Singapore Airlines and the executives from Air France-KLM group stated that they will look for ways to supplement this agreement also on Flying Blue and KrisFlyer loyalty programs.
The codeshare agreement comes into effect from 27 April 2017.
