French Polynesian Air Tahiti Nui is one of the most interesting air carriers from the Pacific Ocean. It is also one of the few airlines in the region. The carrier is specialized in leisure travelers and has a couple of routes from Papeete to North America, Asia and also a route to Paris CDG (with a stopover in Los Angeles).
The carrier will replace in the next year its fleet from Airbus A340’s to Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner planes that are more fuel efficient.
The first delivery of the new Boeing 787 planes to Air Tahiti Nui will be in the second half of 2018. Then the carrier will fly it firstly the plane to routes from Papeete to Auckland and Los Angeles starting November. Then, starting February, Air Tahiti Nui will operate with 787’s also flights to Tokyo Narita from Papeete.
Air Tahiti Nui Dreamliners are configured in a 294 seat configuration, with 30 business class seats (2-2-2 configuration), 32 premium economy seats (2-3-2) 232 standard economy class seats.
