ANA will start direct flights between Tokyo and Perth in September 2019

All Nipon Airways – ANA, Japan’s current largest airline will begin offering direct flights between Tokyo and Perth in September 2019.

The flights connecting the Japan Capital with West-Coast Australian city will be operated daily with Boeing 787-8 aircraft and will come just in time for the 2019 Rugby World Cup held in Japan, which will for sure help in selling the tickets for this route.

This makes ANA the first Japanese carrier to fly to Perth from Japan on a regular basis.

The departing flight from Tokyo’s Narita International Airport will depart the Japanese capital at 11:10 and will arrive in Perth at local time 8:15 pm. Return flight from Perth its scheduled at 9:45 pm with the arrival in Tokyo at around 08:25 am the next day.

Flightime for this direct flight between Tokyo and Perth is about 10 hours, a little less on the southbound leg.

ANA will operate the flight with a 184 seater Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with a two-cabin configuration. There will be offered 32 business class seats and 152 economy seats.

However, the aircraft type is subject to change due to daily operational reasons.
It is worth mentioning that ANA is regarded as 5-star airline according to Skytrax’s rating.

The flight was previously operated by Qantas with Boeing 767 aircraft until 2011.

“We are excited to add Perth to our list of world-class destinations, and are happy to be collaborating with Tourism Western Australia, Perth Airport and Tourism Australia,” said Seiichi Takahashi, Senior Vice President of ANA. “The city is celebrated worldwide as a tourist destination and economic hub, and we look forward to making it easier to travel between Tokyo and Perth.”
