Romanian Blue Air low-cost carrier it’s expanding the base from Iasi with two new non-stop flights to the cities of Lyon (France) and Stockholm (Sweden). The commencement of the flights will be in June 2018, however, the flights have not been added yet to the reservation system of the carrier.
The two new flights would have a twice weekly service.
Iasi – Lyon flights will be operated on Wednesday and Friday.
Iasi – Stockholm (Sweden) flights will be operated on Monday and Friday.
The information was briefly available on the website of Iasi Airport, however, it was withdrawn shortly thereafter. Probably the schedule is not yet finalized. Iasi Airport lately did some mistakes in communication, including denying that Ernest Airlines would come with flights to Iasi, however, it was a misunderstanding between various internal stakeholders.
I see the Iasi – Stockholm flight very interesting because the region has lots of Romanians living in Scandinavia and there are no direct flights from Iasi to either Copenhagen, Malmo, Stockholm or Oslo.
The information is not yet confirmed, so might, in the end, be just a rumor.
