British Airways to update it’s Premium Economy World Traveller Plus product in 2019
British Airways today announced that 2019 will bring a 6.5 billion pounds investment in the overall product.
Customers will see in 2019 new routes such as Charleston, Osaka, Cos, Corsica, Ljubljana among others. The Oneworld member says its 2019 network is the most extensive route network in more than a decade.
Besides what is known as the introduction of a new business class on the Airbus A350 that BA will receive this year, the carrier today announced that they will have a makeover for the World Traveller Plus, which is BA’s premium economy cabin.
They are saying that the makeover will be an industry leading, so there has to be some excitement about when all the details will be released. BA said however that we should look after a new bedding and new dining.

New Business Class product also
British Airways will introduce the new Business and First Class on four Airbus A350’s that will be delivered this year and two Boeing 777 aircraft. Sounds like, with the new cabins in the upper classes, they said it would be a nice time to make some adjustments in the Premium Economy cabin also.
However, with only 6 aircraft to feature at the end of 2019 the new World Traveller Plus and Club World cabins, it will be very limited availability and they will serve only particular routes. However, BA said that starting 2019 they will speed up the retrofitting of the cabins, so then maybe we can accommodate with the new seats.
There are no details whatsoever about how the new World Traveller Plus will look, nor those in business class (known at British Airways as Club World). We expect the details to be released in the coming weeks or months. BA is due to receive the first A350 somewhere in July 2019. British Airways will have delivered this year 15 aircraft, out of which four Airbus A350’s.
