Flydubai has canceled the flights on the Dubai – Bangkok route, effective from 15th of March. The last return date from Bangkok it’s scheduled on 16th March 2018.
The airline was operating two daily flights between Dubai – Bangkok utilizing Boeing 737 MAX planes. Looks like flights of over 6 hours in a medium-haul optimized plane it’s not as fun when you also have the option to travel on the same route with Emirates A380 or 777.
Taking into consideration that the cancelation of the flights its quasi-immediate, I think that the Dubai-based airline will rebook passengers into Emirates flights.
Emirates operates up to six daily flights between Dubai and Bangkok.
Dubai – Bangkok it’s not the only flight that is terminated by the Flydubai. Effective 25 March 2018 the carrier will also terminate its Dubai – Dhaka (Bangladesh) route.
I wonder if its a coincidence that they terminate the longest eastbound flights in the network.
