Norwegian Boeing 737
Norwegian will begin their first flights to the Jordanian Capital of Amman starting 8th May 2018 from Copenhagen Kastrup Airport. The non-stop route that will start from Copenhagen will be serviced twice weekly with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The flights will be served on Tuesdays and Saturdays with the following schedule:
D8 3778 CPH 16:25 – 22:15 AMM Tuesday
D8 3778 CPH 16:45 – 22:35 AMM Saturday
D8 3779 AMM 23:15 – 03:15+1 CPH Tuesday
D8 3779 AMM 23:35 – 03:35+1 CPH Saturday
The flight time between Copenhagen Kastrup Airport and Amman Queen Alia is about 4 hours and 40 minutes.
The hours are not necessarily the best in terms of arrival at Amman or at Copenhagen, however, for tourists that are going from Denmark, it would give a full last day in Amman.
Norwegian prices for a one-way flight from CPH to AMM are starting from 67 EUR (499 DKK).
Also, starting June, there will be another flight to Amman, operated by Royal Jordanian so Norwegian will face competition right from almost the beginning of the route. Previously, if you would have used the most popular ways to fly to Amman from Copenhagen, you would have to take a Turkish Airlines or Pegasus Airlines flight through Istanbul, a Qatar Airways long flight to Doha or an Egyptair flight with a layover in Cairo.
Considering that also Ryanair opens a base in Amman, looks like Jordan starts to be very appealing for European tourists.
