Skyteam member Vietnam Airlines will expand the capacity for the Ho Chi Minh City – Singapore route.
Currently, the route has a three daily service with Airbus A321 and starting March 31, 2019 the third daily rotation will see an upgrade to Airbus A350-900XWB aircraft.
The flights operated with A350 will be the VN657/VN656 with departure from Ho Chi Minh (SGN) at 16:25 and arrival in Singapore at 19:25. Return from Singapore Changi Airport it’s scheduled at 20:25 with arrival back at SGN at 21:35.

The 675-mile long route has a flight time of about 2 hours.
The Ho Chi Minh (SGN) – Singapore (SIN) flight it’s a very competitive one with flights offered with a 3-daily rotation also by Singapore Airlines and Jetstar and with competition also from the budget carriers like VietJet Air and Scoot.
SIA is serving this route with widebodies like A330 and 787’s, so there is some capacity on the route that makes this one of the most competitive in the region.
