Ryanair received its last Boeing 737-800 and waits the first MAX 8-200’s

Irish based budget-airline Ryanair received on Friday it’s last Boeing 737-800 airplane, totaling a number of 50 deliveries from Boeing in 2018. With this last delivery, the total number of Boeing 737-800 produced by Boeing for Ryanair hit the number of 531 units from 1999, being basically the plane that helped Ryanair dominate the low-cost market in Europe.

 

After this delivery, Ryanair will transition in welcoming in the fleet the new Boeing 737 MAX 8-200, a special version of the MAX 8 airplane created for budget-carriers.

The Ryanair’s variant of the 737 MAX 8-200 will have a total of 197 seats, 8 more seats than the 737-800 version currently used on all Ryanair airplanes. The new aircraft besides the new seats has a new pair of emergency exists positioned between the wings and the rear doors.
The additional seats are placed by putting the toilets to the back of the plane and removing the forward right galley.
