TAROM resumes Bucharest – Cairo flights in summer schedule

Bucharest-based Skyteam member TAROM has announced that starting the summer schedule they will reintroduce direct flights between Bucharest and Cairo.

First flight is scheduled for 3rd April and the route will be operated twice a week, on Wednesday and Saturday. Tickets are available for prices starting from 192 EUR/return ticket.

Being a true legacy carrier, TAROM is including in its ticket prices a full catering service and both hand and checked baggage up to 23 kg.

Flights are departing Bucharest at 00:30 and they arrive in Cairo at local time 02:15. Return flights are scheduled from Cairo International Airport at local time 03:00, with arrival at Bucharest Henri Coanda airport at 06:50.

The schedule while not being the best for passengers traveling directly between the two cities, is good for connecting flights, as the Cairo flight arrives in Bucharest just in time for TAROM’s morning wave of flights to Europe, or at night, right in time for traveling from Europe onwards Cairo.

Flights will be operated with Boeing 737-300 aircraft.

The route between Bucharest and Cairo was suspended by the Romanian carrier in 2013, after political and social events in Egipt that drastically reduced tourists demand. However, the Cairo service for TAROM is a classic flight, operating with flight numbers RO101 / RO102.
