Wizz Air to launch a new route from London Gatwick to Cluj Napoca in March 2019
Budget carrier Wizz Air today announced that starting 31st of March 2019 it will launch another route from the UK to Romania. The new route will connect with a daily flight London Gatwick Airport with Cluj-Napoca.
Cluj-Napoca its the second largest airport in Romania and serves the biggest city in Transylvania.
The cities are already connected by flights offered by Wizz Air, but departing London Luton Airport to Cluj-Napoca.
With this new route WIZZ now offers 5 destinations from Cluj-Napoca to the UK. Cluj-Napoca is also connected with Birmingham, Doncaster-Sheffield, Liverpool and London Luton.
Wizz Air’s first Cluj-Napoca flight took off in 2007 and since then, the airline has become the leading carrier at Avram Iancu International Airport. In the first eleven months of 2018, WIZZ carried more, than 7.5 million passengers on its low fare routes to and from Romania, which represents 13% growth year over year.
